COMING SOON 20/3/2020
Steve Loxley & Amanda Rogers
Hi Amanda. Could you tell us a little about how you and Steve Loxley came together to form Sombre Moon?
Amanda.. We both met at some gigs on the synth scene in 2014 and we both had similar tastes/ideas. We were already doing our own thing and in 2017, we decided to refresh the ideas we already had and Sombre Moon was formed. Two months later, ‘Blurred Reality’ was released.
How would you describe the sound of Sombre Moon?
Amanda.. We try and just keep to our own distinct sound but we do get comments like, we sound a bit like ‘Early Client ‘ by Marsheaux! ‘Goldfrapp goes ballistic in a better tomorrow’ said the Swedish band Black Forest.
On the Canadian show Dr Bones, it was said they could hear all kinds of influences in Prayer and Numb, like Madonna’s ‘frozen’, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Ladytron, Yazoo, Soft Cell. It’s also been said my vocals sound a bit like early Blondie.
Have you released any tracks to date?
Our final single of 2018 was ‘Numb’. Prayer and Numb were produced by Mark Kendrick of FUSED.
The support from fellow artists has been amazing! Artists including JIGSAW SEQUENCE - THE DISTANT MINDS - FOURTH ENGINE - NATURE OF WIRES - FUSED - DAY CLIFFORD & JOHN BROWN have also remixed our tracks.
We have had a lot of airplay all over the world from several internet and FM stations and we’d like to thank each and every one of them who have supported us and our music.
