ARTIST : VAGUE NOTION

EP : GLOW

RELEASE : 19/2/2026

This 6-track release feels like Bevan & Cheryl have caught a creative second wind and they're running with it full speed. You can hear that “flow state” they’re talking about in every corner of the project. Nothing sounds forced or overthought — it’s instinctive, alive, and driven by that electric moment when inspiration hits and everyone’s locked in. The chemistry is tight, but still loose in the best way, like they gave themselves permission to explore instead of staying inside neat little boxes.

What really defines the project, though, is its heart. This isn’t just a collection of tracks — it’s a statement of purpose. There’s a clear thread of gratitude running through it, a band that genuinely values the people who’ve been on the journey and is excited to welcome new listeners in. That openness translates into music that feels inviting rather than exclusive, expressive rather than performative.

Stylistically, they’re proudly “painting outside the lines,” and that creative freedom is a strength. The EP doesn’t sound like it’s chasing trends; it sounds like artists leaning into their own voice, encouraging others to do the same. That message — make your sound, take up space, express yourself — sits at the emotional core of the release.

The new single, “Visceral Reaction” opens the Glow EP with an immediate emotional punch — a sonic snapshot of instinct and sensation. The lyrics vividly evoke the simplicity of being present (“the lilacs are in bloom / in the now with my feet on the ground”) and the raw human response to life unfolding. It’s energetic and heartfelt, mixing reflective moments with a spirited push-forward feeling that sets the tone for the rest of the release.
Its predecessor, ''Peace Dub'' brings a more meditative, groove-driven vibe to the EP. Lyrically rooted in observation and calm introspection, the song finds peace “right in front of me” even amid change and turmoil. The repetition and subtle mantras woven through the track give it a hypnotic, dub-influenced atmosphere — like a tranquil moment lifted out of the everyday and set to rhythm.

Underneath the energy and experimentation is a bigger theme: love, hope, and belief in a better human future. That optimism gives the EP a glow (pun fully earned). Even when the music hits hard or gets intense, there’s an undercurrent of uplift — a sense that this is about growth, connection, and leveling up not just musically, but personally and collectively.

Overall, this EP feels like a creative glow-up in real time: passionate, grateful, boundary-pushing, and rooted in a message that’s bigger than the band itself. It’s the sound of artists who rediscovered their spark — and want everyone else to find theirs too.
