Asylum Benefit Album Vol. 1 is a deeply personal and collective expression—an intimate compilation where underground artists come together in solidarity, using sound as both refuge and resistance. Rooted in raw emotion and community spirit, the album transforms individual voices into a shared act of care, reminding listeners that music can be both healing and purposeful.

Revival Synth would like to showcase the talents of all the artists featured on this album.

It's difficult to adequately express how much it matters that this community of musicians, artists and friends have come together to support the rights of our immigrant neighbors here in Minnesota. Through collective action, the Asylum Benefit Album (Vol. 1) has created a space for us to use our skills and voices to stand with immigrants at a moment when many are experiencing fear and uncertainty. Across the nation, people are raising serious conern centering around the Federal Government's inhumane treatment of immirgrants. Here in Minnesota we have become eye witnesses to an unacceptable breakdown of constitutional protections.

Extensive documentation shows Federal Immigration Agents have forcibly entered homes, conducted raids and made arrests without judicial warrants, probable cause or resonable suspicion. These actions are a violation of the Fourth Ammendment guarantee that people are free from unreasonable search and seizure. A federal judge in Minnesota has already ruled that in at least one case Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) has violated the Fourth Ammendment by entering a private residence without a judge signed warrant.
Lawsuits filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) argue that immigrants and other residents, especialy Somali and Latino community members have been stopped, detained, racially profiled, and arrested without lawful cause or individual determination of wrong doing. This is a violation of the Fifth Ammendments due process protections and the guarantee of equal protection under the law.
As creatives, we've grown tired of sitting in anger and fear. Music and art have always been tools for resistance and solidarity. This benefit album is a way for us to channel that energy into something tangible. We're empowering ourselves by fund raising, building awareness and reminding our immigrant friends that they are not alone.
100% of the proceeds (after Bandcamp fees) from this album will be donated to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ICLM), a nonprofit dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of immigrants and refugees across the state. ILCM provides free and low cost legal representation, community education and policy advocacy ensuring that immigrants have access to due process, protection from unlawful dentention and a fair chance to remain with their families. We chose ILCM because their work is local, trusted and deeply impactful, meeting people where they are and standing with them when it matters most. This album is our way of amplying their work and putting our values to action.
